The Fire Inside
The Fire Inside Photography is about capturing the fire that burns in all of us, hidden behind careers, parenting and the stresses of life.
I’m Nicole aka Miss Corsair Debonair, the creative force behind the studio. I do the makeovers, styling, photography and editing. I’m a Pinup who is active in the scene and have won numerous Pinup titles, including Jack Daniels Miss Pinup NZ Miss Picture Perfect 2019. With a background in film photography stretching back to the darkroom days of the 1990s, the 2020 lockdown reignited the fire to create and pick up a camera again. Thinking of my favourite Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band song led to the studio’s name.
Specialising in Pinup and vintage boudoir styling, I shoot from home utilising vintage and retro-themed sets. You don’t need to worry about what to wear, as the studio wardrobe contains a range of vintage negligees, robes and furs as well as Pinup-style dresses, corsets, suspenders, stockings and heels. We also have a pair of Stella McCartney thigh high boots!
Vintage-styled hair and makeup is included in the photo packages. I’m a qualified makeup artist through the Institute of Makeup Artistry and I love transforming women into a vintage fantasy. When you book a shoot, you’ll be emailed an information sheet that includes all you need to know to prepare.
I capture beauty in every sense of the word, for every gender, career, race, creed and body shape. Whether you want images for your Grandma or your Only Fans, every body is welcome. I’ll help you pose, and ensure you’re comfortable and having a good time. Bring a friend with you if you wish.
Your images don’t need to be shared online - and anything I do share will always have your permission.
I contribute to Pinup and Alternative magazines and have been published in Retro Lovely (USA), Bombshell Magazine (UK), Bachelor Pad (USA), Bachelor Pad Nightcap edition (USA), Exotica Moderne (USA), Twisted Pulp Magazine (USA) and the limited edition Sinical Magazine “Girls” issue (USA). I entered The Portrait Masters Awards (USA) for the first time in 2022 and received Bronze and Bronze With Distinction awards for my entries. And as if I wasn’t busy enough, I’m also a stylist for The Beauty School Dropouts and you’ll find me at events like Beach Hop and The Very Vintage Day Out.
The studio is located 15 minutes from Martinborough in rural Longbush, and open Fridays only. It’s well worth a long Martinborough weekend.
